Fabric and Wallpaper Designs

In January, we identified these five design and color trends as significantly influencing the home market.  Today, leading with a love of pattern we note there are lots of newbies on the market this spring.  Pulling from four of these five trends, we are sharing some of our favorites.  We scoured the Market from Paris to London and back home here in the States to bring you Part 1 of our very favorites.

It's a wonder what a new slipcovered chair, a re-upholstered bench, new drapes or even a few toss cushions can do to brighten and freshen up your home.  With spring on the horizon, we have decorating on the mind.  Perhaps it's time for some small fabric upgrades in your home.  These fabric and wallpaper beauties will certainly do the trick!  Some of our favorite patterns and brands, these offer fresh, quality and colorful options.    Enjoy!

Jim Thompson

Jim Thompson delivers some of the most elaborate and gorgeous fabrics on the Market. This exotic, embroidered design showcases blooming flowers on a lightweight woven construction with a tropical feel. Inspired by the dancing lion at Chinese New Year parades, this pattern takes an old world idea and makes it modern.

Pierre Frey Maoming Collection

We heard first-hand from Patrick Frey at Deco-off in Paris in January about his travels to the Guizhou province of China to meet with artisans.  The Pierre Frey's new 2017 collection is inspired by these artsian's art and textiles and the specific use of indigo and embroidery in their designs.

utilizing the bright colors and textures from Africa, the patterns in this new collection are inspired by traditionally dyed cottons made with fermented mud.  Additionally, the designs focus on the art created with kuba textiles specifically from the Congo, Namibia and Kenia designs.

Relativity Textiles, ALT For Living

hand screened printed in Chicago with vinyl inks, this wallpaper is manufactured in the USA. It is also fade-resistant, durable, and we are smitten with this stylish pattern which is quite unique.

Luru Home

The duo from Luru Home creates these patterns and produces them here in the USA, digitally printed using water-based pigment dyes.  They are free of synthetic chemicals found in dyes.  We love that this pattern and color choices feel to be channeling vintage designs.

Made by artists in a Philadelphia studio, these block printed fabrics are elegant and fresh, and yes, modern.  the geometric contrast of the oval shape and the design within gives the pattern a three dimensional feel.
