Interior Designer Justin Shaulis shows his design talent again, creating a home in Brooklyn for a family of four

glimpses of a newly designed brownstone in Brooklyn
created by talented designer Justin Shaulis

My friend Justin is making a splash in the design world here in New York City these days.  In case you missed his gorgeous ballroom at the fabulous, historic Holiday House earlier this year,
take a look at his art-filled ballroom. Justin named the design Gallery Hopping to evoke the feeling surrounding Art Basil in Miami and pay homage to Justin's love for art in design.  The space was an expansive, modern design utilizing creative lighting, gorgeous art and a fabulous custom bar.

Today, I am sharing glimpses of his latest interior design project, which is a recently completed home in Brooklyn for a family of four after they moved from a loft that Justin had designed for them.  The move to this brownstone was triggered by the family's yearning to expand from apartment living to a house with a front door and a garden. I think the project is unique, vibrant and designed beautifully with Justin creating a lovely respite for this artistic family.  Throughout the design there is an interesting play between color and textures, and showing Justin's signature aesthetic, a fabulous use of art in the home.

Justin creates a warm and cozy nook in this dining space by combining myriad design aesthetics and textures.

bold use of color throughout gives the brownstone a modern appeal
"Integrating their active lifestyle by merging the traditional brownstone street façade and a modern glass garden façade, I sought to reintroduce pieces from the loft like the B&B Italia sofa reupholstered and design some custom ones including the dining table and banquette by Naula. Color abounds through the fashion magazine wife's Danish painting collection and the photographer husband's images of sea and urban landscapes".
